Terms & Conditions

These terms apply when you use our website, 822kitchens.com — including the Kitchen Visualizer, our chat window and our quote form — and when you receive text messages from us. By using the website, you agree to follow them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

They don’t cover remodeling work we do for you. That work is governed by a separate written agreement signed by you and us, and any changes to it need a written change order signed by both of us. If anything in these terms conflicts with your signed agreement, the agreement controls.

Service descriptions, photos, sample prices and Kitchen Visualizer previews on our website are general information. Neither they nor our chat replies are a binding estimate or contract: your project’s scope and price are set only in a written estimate or agreement after we’ve talked with you and measured your space. If something we told you isn’t in your written agreement, please raise it before you sign. Quotes are free and carry no obligation.

Advertised promotions are different: we honor them as advertised, and any promotion that applies to your project will appear in your written agreement.

If you sign an agreement with us at your home, you may have the right to cancel it until midnight of the third business day after you sign, and to get back any payment you made. When that right applies, we’ll give you a written notice explaining how to cancel when you sign.

Any written warranty we give on our work is set out in your written agreement, along with any manufacturer warranties on products we install. Nothing in these terms limits those warranties, any implied warranties, or any other warranty rights you have under Michigan or federal law.

Our Kitchen Visualizer is a free tool for your personal, non-commercial use. It gives you a rough preview of how finishes might look — not a design, measurement, quote or promise that a material is available.

• Previews are approximate. Color, veining, pattern and scale depend on your photo, your screen and your lighting, and natural stone varies from slab to slab. Final selections are made from physical samples and the specifications in your written agreement.
• Photos you add are processed in your web browser and never uploaded to us. Designs you download save to your device.
• Only use photos you have the right to use.
• The countertop, backsplash and cabinet textures in the Visualizer belong to us or our licensors and are for use in the Visualizer only.

You’re welcome to use our website for your own personal purposes. When you do, please:

• give accurate information when you contact us or request a quote;
• only give us a mobile number you own or are authorized to use, and tell us if it changes; and
• don’t send spam, use bots or automated tools to scrape or flood the site, test its security, or interfere with the chat window, quote form or other features.

We may block access, or disregard submissions, that break these rules.

The text, photos, graphics, design and other content on this website belong to Eight 22 Kitchens LLC or to the people who license it to us, and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may view and print pages for your own personal use. Please don’t copy, republish or sell our content without our written permission. The 822 Kitchens name and logo are our trademarks; other names and marks on the site belong to their owners.

Our chat window, quote form and text messages run on a customer-communications platform that our marketing agency operates for us, and Cloudflare provides spam checks. Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use these tools. Our website also links to other companies’ sites, such as our Facebook page and Google Maps. Those sites have their own terms and privacy policies, and we aren’t responsible for their content or practices.

822 Kitchens Text Messages

822 Kitchens Text Messages is run by Eight 22 Kitchens LLC, doing business as 822 Kitchens. Messages come from (517) 202-5910. We send two types of text messages:

• Project messages — replies to your questions, consultation and appointment scheduling, confirmations and reminders, and updates on your project. We send these if you ask us to text you about your inquiry or project when you talk with us by phone or in person. If you text us first, we’ll reply.
• Promotional messages — special offers, discounts, seasonal promotions, news about our services, and follow-ups about estimates you haven’t accepted yet. We send these only if you agree to receive promotional texts in the chat window on our website.

Agreeing to texts is not a condition of any purchase. Right now, our chat window asks you to agree to promotional texts before you can send a message; if you’d rather not, call or email us instead, or reply STOP at any time. You’re never signed up just by using our website or reading our policies, and your agreement is to 822 Kitchens only — we don’t transfer it to anyone else.

Program details

• Message frequency varies.
• Message and data rates may apply. For questions about your text or data plan, contact your wireless provider.
• Reply STOP to opt out at any time — QUIT, END, CANCEL and UNSUBSCRIBE work too. We’ll send one message confirming you’ve opted out, and after that you won’t receive texts from us unless you sign up again. You can also opt out by replying REVOKE or OPT OUT, or by telling us any other reasonable way, for example by phone or email. We honor those requests within 10 business days.
• Replying STOP stops all texts from our number, including project messages. If you only want to stop promotional texts, tell us any other way — for example, reply “no more promotions,” or call or email us — and we’ll keep sending project messages only. If you’ve opted out completely and have a project underway, we’ll keep in touch by phone or email.
• Reply HELP for help, or contact us at (517) 202-5910 or info@822kitchens.com.
• To start receiving texts again, text START to (517) 202-5910. If you sign up again another way, we may ask you to text START so our system can send to you again.
• Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

When you ask us about a project, we may call or email you about it. If you’ve agreed to hear from us, we may also email you about offers and services. You can ask us to stop calling at any time, and you can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any of them — or just tell us.

We work to keep our website accurate and available, but it may occasionally contain errors or be unavailable. We aren’t responsible for problems caused only by technical errors or outages on the website or in the Kitchen Visualizer, such as a page that won’t load or a preview that doesn’t display correctly.

This section doesn’t apply to what we advertise or tell you, to our remodeling work or the products we install, to our obligations under your signed agreement, or to any claim you have under Michigan or federal consumer-protection law. It doesn’t limit our responsibility for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or personal injury or property damage we cause.

Nothing in these terms takes away or limits any right or remedy you have under Michigan or federal law, including the Michigan Consumer Protection Act and, where it applies, your right to cancel a sale made at your home. Using our website doesn’t waive any of your legal rights.

These terms are governed by Michigan law. If you have a concern, please contact us first — most issues can be settled with a conversation. If we can’t resolve it, either of us may bring the matter to a Michigan court with proper jurisdiction and venue, including small claims court.

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll post the new version on this page with a new effective date. Changes apply going forward only: they don’t affect disputes that have already arisen or any agreement you’ve signed with us, and we won’t start sending you a new type of text message without your agreement.

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Please also read our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your information.
