How Eight 22 Kitchens LLC collects, uses and protects your information — in plain language.

Effective September 12, 2026

This policy explains how Eight 22 Kitchens LLC, doing business as 822 Kitchens (“822 Kitchens,” “we,” “us” or “our”), collects, uses, shares and protects information about you when you visit 822kitchens.com, contact us, or work with us on a project. Please read it along with our Terms & Conditions.

The short version

  • We collect what you choose to give us — your name, contact details and project information — so we can quote and build your kitchen.
  • Our chat window and quote form run on a customer-communications platform that records how you found and moved around our site, and links that to your details if you contact us.
  • We don't sell your information, and we never share your mobile number or text-message consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing, or with advertising platforms.
  • Photos you try in our Kitchen Visualizer never leave your device.
  • You can ask us to see, correct or delete your information at any time. We keep only what we need for your project, the law, and to honor your opt-outs.

Information we collect

Information you give us

When you request a quote, chat with us, call, text or email us, you may give us your name, email address, phone number, the address of the home you’d like remodeled, details about your project — such as the rooms involved, your timeline and budget — and any messages, photos or measurements you choose to send.

Text-message records

If you agree to receive text messages, we keep a record of that consent — such as when and where you gave it and the wording you agreed to, or, if you agreed by phone or in person, a note of when and how — and of any opt-out, so we can show we had your permission and honor your choices.

Information collected automatically

Our web host keeps standard server logs — your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the date and time — to keep the site secure and running.

Our chat window and quote form are provided by our customer-communications platform, GoHighLevel (LeadConnector). On every page, GoHighLevel’s servers receive your IP address and browser details, and its chat software records the page you’re viewing, the website that referred you, any campaign details in the web address (for example, from an ad or email link) and a visit identifier. It also looks up your country from your IP address to pre-set the country code in its phone-number field. If you then send a chat message or submit our quote form, GoHighLevel links this visit history — along with your time zone and how long you spent on the form — to your contact record, so we can see how you found us and which pages you viewed. The quote form also counts how often it’s viewed, and both the chat window and the quote form use a Cloudflare security check to block spam. See Cookies and similar technologies for what these tools store in your browser.

Photos in our Kitchen Visualizer

Photos you load into the Kitchen Visualizer are processed entirely in your web browser. They are never uploaded to us or to anyone else, and we can’t see them. If you download a design, it saves straight to your device. Photos you attach to our quote form are different: they’re sent to us with the rest of your request.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • respond to your questions and requests;
  • prepare estimates and schedule consultations and site visits;
  • plan, carry out and stand behind your project;
  • contact you by phone and email about your inquiry and project, and by text message if you’ve agreed to receive that type of text, or to reply when you text us;
  • keep records of text-message consent and honor opt-outs;
  • understand how people find our website and which pages lead to inquiries;
  • keep accurate business, billing and tax records;
  • protect our website and business against spam, fraud and abuse, and comply with the law; and
  • improve our services.

If you’ve agreed to hear from us, we may also tell you about offers and services we think you’d find useful. You can opt out at any time.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these situations:

  • Our communications platform. GoHighLevel (LeadConnector) runs our quote form, chat window, customer records and outgoing texts and emails, using its own providers — including wireless carriers and messaging, email, hosting and security services. Its terms also let it use information to run, secure, troubleshoot, train and improve its platform (including its AI features) and to create de-identified or aggregated data.
  • Our marketing agency. Our GoHighLevel account sits inside our marketing agency’s own GoHighLevel account, and the agency sets it up and runs it for us; it also helps with our advertising. That means the agency can see and export the information stored there — such as contact details, messages, text-message and consent records, the visit history linked to your contact record, and photos you send us — and it receives a copy of what you submit through our quote form. It handles this information only on our behalf, to run the account and help with customer service. We don’t allow it to use your information for its own marketing or anyone else’s, or to give your mobile number or text-message consent to any advertising platform.
  • Website technology providers. When our chat window and quote form load, Cloudflare (spam and bot checks), Google (fonts, files and Google Tag Manager, used by the quote form) and Bunny Fonts (chat-window fonts) receive technical details such as your IP address and the page you’re on. Cloudflare may use information from its spam checks to improve its bot detection. Our web host keeps the server logs described above.
  • Email, phone and professional services. Our email and phone providers carry the messages and calls you send us. Our accountant, attorneys and insurers, and the banks and payment or financing companies that handle payments, receive what they need to provide those services to us.
  • Subcontractors on your project. When needed to complete your job — for example, a countertop fabricator who has to measure your kitchen — we share only the details they need, such as your address and project specifications. They may contact you only about your job; they can’t text you under our text-message program or use your details for their own marketing.
  • Legal and safety reasons. When required by law, subpoena or court order, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our customers, our business or others.
  • Business transfers. If our business is ever sold or merged, customer information may transfer to the new owner, and we’ll require the new owner to honor this policy for information collected under it. Text-message opt-in data and consent are not transferred.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

In plain terms: We do not share, sell or provide your mobile phone number or text-message consent to third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes, and we don’t give it to advertising platforms. Our messaging platform, the marketing agency that runs it for us, and wireless carriers handle it only to send our messages and provide services to us.

Text messaging (SMS)

822 Kitchens Text Messages is run by Eight 22 Kitchens LLC, doing business as 822 Kitchens. Messages come from (517) 202-5910. We send two types of text messages:

  • Project messages — replies to your questions, consultation and appointment scheduling, confirmations and reminders, and updates on your project. We send these if you ask us to text you about your inquiry or project when you talk with us by phone or in person. If you text us first, we’ll reply.
  • Promotional messages — special offers, discounts, seasonal promotions, news about our services, and follow-ups about estimates you haven’t accepted yet. We send these only if you agree to receive promotional texts in the chat window on our website.

Agreeing to texts is not a condition of any purchase. Right now, our chat window asks you to agree to promotional texts before you can send a message; if you’d rather not, call or email us instead, or reply STOP at any time. You’re never signed up just by using our website or reading our policies, and your agreement is to 822 Kitchens only — we don’t transfer it to anyone else.

  • Message frequency varies.
  • Message and data rates may apply. For questions about your text or data plan, contact your wireless provider.
  • Reply STOP to opt out at any time — QUIT, END, CANCEL and UNSUBSCRIBE work too. We’ll send one message confirming you’ve opted out, and after that you won’t receive texts from us unless you sign up again. You can also opt out by replying REVOKE or OPT OUT, or by telling us any other reasonable way, for example by phone or email. We honor those requests within 10 business days.
  • Replying STOP stops all texts from our number, including project messages. If you only want to stop promotional texts, tell us any other way — for example, reply “no more promotions,” or call or email us — and we’ll keep sending project messages only. If you’ve opted out completely and have a project underway, we’ll keep in touch by phone or email.
  • Reply HELP for help, or contact us at (517) 202-5910 or info@822kitchens.com.
  • To start receiving texts again, text START to (517) 202-5910. If you sign up again another way, we may ask you to text START so our system can send to you again.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

The full terms of our text-message program are in our Terms & Conditions. See How we share information for how we protect your mobile number and text-message consent.

Cookies and similar technologies

Our website’s own code doesn’t set cookies, and no advertising networks or retargeting pixels currently run on our site. The tools our service providers supply do store information in your browser, or receive your IP address, browser details and the address of the page you’re on when they load:

  • Chat window (GoHighLevel/LeadConnector, on every page). Keeps a visit identifier and a history of the pages you’ve viewed on our site in your browser’s local storage; the history stays until you clear your browser data. It saves what you type into the chat — including a message you leave unsent — and, after you send one, your name and contact details so it can welcome you back. Its fonts load from Bunny Fonts. When it loads, Cloudflare, which protects GoHighLevel’s servers, sets a short-lived (about 30-minute) security cookie on GoHighLevel’s domains, and when you open the chat it may run Cloudflare Turnstile, a spam check.
  • Quote form (GoHighLevel/LeadConnector, on our Contact page). Uses similar storage inside the form, plus a visitor identifier, kept for up to a year, that counts form views and links your visits to the form. It runs Cloudflare Turnstile, a spam check that usually works without you doing anything, and Cloudflare may set the same short-lived security cookie. After you submit, it may remember your details to pre-fill the form next time. It loads fonts from Google Fonts, a file from Google Cloud Storage, and Google Tag Manager — a tool that can load other code; ours currently loads none.
  • Server logs kept by our web host, as described above.

You can clear or block cookies and site data in your browser settings; the chat window and quote form may not work fully if you do. On a shared computer, clearing site data after using the chat or form removes the details they saved.

Do Not Track. Our site doesn’t currently respond to Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals. The providers named above can collect information about your visits to our site over time — GoHighLevel, for example, recognizes return visits. Cloudflare and Google also operate on many other websites and receive technical details such as your IP address from each of them. No tool on our site currently tracks you across other websites for advertising.

Links to other websites

Our site links to other websites, such as our Facebook page and Google Maps. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we aren’t responsible for their practices. It’s worth reading their policies before sharing information with them.

How we protect your information

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information, limit access within our business to the people who need it to serve you, and serve our website over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Our marketing agency’s staff can also access our customer-communications account, as described in How we share information. No method of storing or sending information is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security — but we take it seriously.

How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy — for example, to respond to you, complete your project and handle any follow-up, and meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations. We keep text-message consent and opt-out records for as long as we may need to show we had your permission. When we no longer need information, we delete it or make it anonymous in our own records, and we ask the service providers that hold a copy for us to do the same.

Your choices

  • See, correct or delete your information. Ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it. We may need to confirm your identity first. We may keep information we need to finish your project, meet legal, tax or accounting obligations, or resolve disputes, and we keep a record of your text-message consent and any opt-out — including your number on our do-not-contact list — so we don’t contact you again by mistake. Deleting your information from our records doesn’t remove details the chat window or quote form saved in your own browser; clear your browser’s site data to remove those.
  • Texts. Reply STOP to any text message to stop all texts, or tell us any other reasonable way — including if you only want to stop promotional texts.
  • Email. Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or contact us.
  • Calls. Ask us to stop calling and we’ll add you to our do-not-call list.

We aim to respond to requests within 30 days, and we won’t treat you differently for making one. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state’s law — contact us and we’ll honor them as required.

Children’s privacy

Our website and services are meant for adults. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Visitors outside the United States

We’re a Michigan business serving Mid-Michigan homeowners, and our website is intended for visitors in the United States. Our service providers may process information in the United States and in other countries where they or their providers operate.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll post the updated version on this page and change the effective date at the top.
